Along the road to Ostuni, you will immediately understand why it is famously known as the "white town". A group of houses and churches, huddled together within the ancient walls of Aragon, all whitewashed with burnt lime and perched on top of the hill. A territory, Ostuni, which extends to the sea. Hill and plain, countryside and beaches, olive groves, dry stone walls, trulli and "masserie", in an unique and picturesque landscape that every year attracts many visitors.


The hill of Ostuni has been inhabited since the Paleolithic period and each population over the centuries has left its mark on art and culture, which can be well seen in the many architectural styles of the historic center. Entering in the centre, the maze of medieval streets and alleys will take you up to the church of St. Oronzo, who dominates the top of the hill with its gothic and romanic elements. The column of the saint patron is particular:  it stands in front of the Town Hall.


Ostuni is a seaside excellent resort winning several awards, It is worth visiting not only in the summer. There are organized many historical and cultural events, to make your stay enjoyable at any time of the year.
